Job Summary:

EHC Construction is a leading construction company committed to excellence in all aspects of our operations. Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will hold a valid CDL A or CDL B Florida license and demonstrate a commitment to maintaining safety and professionalism on the job. In this role, you will operate trucks on public highways, job sites, and in yard areas, ensuring the safe and efficient transportation and delivery of materials.

As a Dump Truck Driver at EHC, you will be responsible for performing daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, adhering to DOT regulations, and maintaining accurate delivery and mileage logs. We seek a dedicated driver who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and follows supervisor instructions to ensure optimal truck performance and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensuring fluid levels, tires, lights, and other essential truck components are in safe working order.
• Accurately log deliveries and complete all required paperwork, ensuring proper billing and DOT compliance.
• Monitor vehicle gauges and maintain safe and efficient operation while transporting materials.
• Maintain detailed daily vehicle mileage logs in accordance with DOT guidelines.
• Secure and cover loads with a truck tarp as needed.
• Perform minor maintenance and servicing of equipment; report major issues to the supervisor for further action.
• Adhere to all company safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure work environment.
• Ensure the truck is kept clean, organized, and in excellent working condition.
• Demonstrate regular, reliable attendance, and adhere to assigned schedules.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
• At least four years of experience driving and transporting materials, preferably in the construction industry.
• Must have a valid CDL A or CDL B Florida license with a clean driving record .
• Must maintain all DOT permits and stay up to date on current regulations.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to follow instructions and ensure safety compliance at all times.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to climb, bend, squat, sit, and perform various trunk movements.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull loads as needed.
• Manual dexterity and strength to handle controls and cover/uncover loads.
• Vision abilities, with or without correction, including close, distance, peripheral, depth, and focus.
• Ability to hear and speak clearly to communicate on job sites.
