The Engineering & Technology (E&T) Senior Manager Functional Site Lead plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of various programs within the Santa Barbara, CA site location. Reporting directly to the Missiles and Fire Control Multifunctional Engineering Director with matrix reporting responsibilities to the Santa Barbara Site Director, this position is responsible for providing strategic and tactical direction to a multi-functional engineering team, ensuring the site meets or exceeds quality, cost, schedule, and performance goals. What You Will Be Doing Lead and execute programs at the Santa Barbara site, ensuring quality, cost, schedule, and performance goals are met or exceeded. Lead an organization of ~85 employees across multiple engineering disciplines. Develop and mentor talent, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. Serve as the Mission Systems Technical Lead responsible for the Mission Systems portfolio of programs including F-35 EOTS, TacIRST, IRST, Sniper, and PDAS. Maintain the organization's Electro-Optical and Infra-Red technical expertise, staying abreast of industry trends and advancements. Oversee talent management, performance management, and career development. Drive engineering initiatives, serving as a change agent for continuous improvement. Lead the integration of OneLM infrastructure and methodologies. Maintain relevant contacts within industry, universities, and customer areas. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 15 or more years of professional experience. DoD Active Secret security clearance with ability to obtain DoD Top Secret clearance. Proven track record of successfully leading multi-functional engineering teams and delivering complex projects on schedule and within budget. Strong technical background in EO/IR technologies with a deep understanding of digital transformation and modern engineering methodologies. Earned Value Management Experience. Desired Skills Leadership experience with at least two of the following product lifecycle environments (Development, Transition-to-production, LRIP, FRP). Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Previous leadership experience as a Program Manager or Chief Engineer. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to resolve conflicting priorities with complex resource constraints. Advanced degree in engineering or related discipline. Demonstrated experience with product affordability and digital transformation. IPT or cross-functional leadership experience. Demonstrated experience leading change management initiatives for process improvement and organizational growth. Experience in talent management, including recruitment, performance management, and employee development. Understanding of Design Assurance Practices. Six Sigma Certification. Experience with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and production test methodology. Pay Rate The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas) is $144,600 - $255,070.
