Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting opportunity for a passionate and driven individual to fill the role of Human Resources Intern at our offices in Sterling, Illinois.

The HR Intern will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various HR functions and contribute to our organization's growth. The ideal candidate will support employer branding, learning and development, onboarding initiatives, and talent acquisition.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Employer Branding: Assist in developing and executing employer branding strategies to attract top talent.
  • Help manage our social media presence and create engaging content to showcase our company culture.
  • Learning and Development: Support the planning and coordination of training programs. Assist in the development of learning materials and track employee progress.
  • Onboarding: Assist with the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing onboarding materials, conducting orientation sessions, and ensuring a smooth transition for new employees.
  • Talent Acquisition: Contribute to the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, pre-screening candidates and coordinating interviews.
  • Administrative Support: Perform administrative tasks such as maintaining employee records, preparing HR documents, and assisting with HR projects as needed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Studying toward a degree in Human Resource Management, Organizational Development, Business or related field
  • Completed at least one year of college
  • Proven experience working in an office environment
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications with ability to use formulas and set up PivotTables in Excel preferred
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • An appreciation and respect for the diversity of all individuals in the workplace along with modeling the Company's values of integrity, teamwork, and continuous improvement
