Minimal Qualifications
Must have at least three (3) years of experience working in a security role. Must clear Caregiver and Background checks, physical exam, and drug screen prior to hire. Must have valid drivers license, automobile, and insurance sufficient to meet agency requirements

Expectations are to maintain a neat, professional appearance, and to interact with participants, staff and members of the public in a professional manner that positively represents WCS.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must be knowledgeable in assessing and intervening in situations that present risks, and compromise safety and security. Must be proficient in the use of computers and basic software (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.). Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness. Ability to work cooperatively with supervisors, co-workers, and other staff is a must. Ability to always exercise and use good judgement. Ability to communicate effectively and in a positive manner with staff and participants. Ability to respond appropriately in a crisis situation. Sensitivity toward cultural, ethnic, and disability issues. Ability to learn evidence based best practices and apply those skills learned.

Working Conditions:
Work is primarily performed at the WCS North Campus, but may require a presence at other program sites as / if needed. Individuals performing this job can expect to work in various weather conditions as needed. Shift hours may vary depending on needs of the agency to include evenings and weekends.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to climb two to three flights of stairs and be mobile throughout the facility. Must be able to sit for extended periods of time, walk and stay awake while on shift. Must be able to remain alert and aware of surroundings while on shift. Must be able to evacuate occupants from building in less than three minutes in the event of an emergency. Requires ability to provide First Aid and CPR. Some lifting required.
