IMAGINE Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a dynamic Marketing & Communications Coordinator to share our story of youth empowerment and expand our impact across Metro Detroit and beyond. This role is crucial in amplifying our mission to teach school staff, youth, and their families to imagine the power of their potential.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Marketing & Communications Coordinator will develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies that enhance IMAGINE's brand presence, engage stakeholders, and support program growth. This role combines creative storytelling, strategic marketing, and digital media expertise to showcase our impact and reach new communities.

 

POSITION DETAILS

Contracted, part-time position based in Metro Detroit, with potential for hybrid work arrangements. Regional travel required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategic Communications

    • Develop and implement comprehensive communications and marketing strategies

    • Create compelling narratives that showcase IMAGINE's impact and success stories

    • Manage brand identity and ensure consistency across all platforms

    • Write and edit content for various channels and audiences

    • Craft press releases and media communications

    • Develop promotional materials for programs and events

 

  • Social Media Management

    • Create and manage content calendars for all social media platforms

    • Develop engaging, youth-appropriate content that resonates with multiple audiences

    • Monitor and analyze social media metrics and engagement

    • Stay current with social media trends and best practices

    • Ensure safe and appropriate youth representation in social content

    • Manage community engagement and respond to social media inquiries

 

  • Digital Marketing

    • Manage and optimize IMAGINE's website content

    • Create and implement email marketing campaigns

    • Develop digital advertising strategies

    • Track and analyze digital marketing metrics

    • Optimize content for SEO

    • Create and manage digital marketing budgets

 

  • Stakeholder Communication

    • Develop materials for school partnerships and community outreach

    • Create compelling presentation materials for various stakeholders

    • Write and design program updates and impact reports

    • Manage internal communications tools and strategies

    • Support grant writing and reporting efforts with compelling content

 

  • Content Creation

    • Coordinate photo and video documentation of programs and events

    • Create engaging multimedia content for various platforms

    • Develop marketing collateral (brochures, flyers, presentations)

    • Maintain a digital asset library

    • Ensure all content aligns with youth privacy and safety guidelines

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years of experience in communications, marketing, or related field

  • Proven track record in social media management and content creation

  • Strong writing and editing skills

  • Experience with digital marketing tools and analytics

  • Proficiency in design software (Adobe Creative Suite or similar)

  • Understanding of youth-focused marketing and communications

  • Experience with website management and SEO

  • Knowledge of social media best practices and trends

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in Public Relations, or related field

  • Prior experience in nonprofit or education sector

  • Previous work with youth-focused organizations

  • Grant writing experience

  • Bilingual capabilities

  • Passionate about youth development and education

  • Creative storyteller with strong visual and written communication skills

  • Strategic thinker with attention to detail

  • Experience in nonprofit or education sector (preferred)

  • Understanding of youth safety and privacy considerations in marketing

  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders

  • Self-motivated with excellent project management skills

  • Comfortable with both strategic planning and hands-on execution

  • $22/hour
