Mechanical Design Engineer - Direct Hire Opportunity

Position Overview

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing innovative mechanical systems and products. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest quality standards.

Salary & Schedule

• Salary: $90K - $130K
• Shift: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop both existing and new product offerings by capturing customer needs, creating concept models, building engineering models, conducting verification testing, and overseeing field-based customer validation. Transfer designs to manufacturing.
• Collaborate with Operations to implement lean manufacturing techniques and optimize production processes.
• Coordinate with the supply chain for material sourcing, inventory management, part substitutions, and troubleshooting supplier or assembly issues.
• Assist Field Service with product delivery, installation, and customer training. Occasional travel required.
• Foster a collaborative and effective teamwork environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10 years of experience in mechanical design and development , preferably in a healthcare or medical device environment.
• Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks preferred), Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and mechanical kinematic analysis.
• Experience with engineering drawings and New Product Development (NPD) in healthcare or related industries.
• Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills.
• Preferred skills include Six Sigma/Continuous Improvement (CI) experience, knowledge of 21CFR820 Design Controls, and familiarity with NetSuite.
