Hour Media, the nation's largest publisher of city & regional magazines, is looking for a motivated media sales professional to drive advertising sales for Michigan Wine Country magazine, part of Hour Media’s portfolio. This role involves selling both print and digital advertising solutions to businesses looking to reach an engaged audience of wine enthusiasts. The ideal candidate is results-driven, skilled in building client relationships, and eager to contribute to the success of this publication.

Location: West Michigan, MI

Job responsibilities include:

• Research and cold call prospective advertisers

• Ongoing high level of sales activity (phone calls, e-mails, networking, face to face meetings, virtual meetings)

• Effectively articulate and communicate the marketing opportunities available to help companies reach target audiences

• Speaking daily to industry professionals

• Develop proposals

• Introducing our brands to new partners

• Manage and track sales activity

• Regular local and regional travel

• Achieve revenue and activity goals

Qualifications

• Relentless work ethic

• Ability to work effectively from home office

• Proven sales success

• Effective sales skills, negotiation techniques and superior communication skills are essential to the job

• A proven ability to plan, develop and implement sales strategies that produce results is necessary

• Ability to develop custom marketing proposals and ideas
