Dan’s Bagels is a local, family-owned business. Dan’s Bagels is “East Coast-born and TX raised." Dan’s specializes in premium classic & artisan bagels.

We are looking for a friendly and open-minded individual to join Dan’s Bagels team. The ideal candidate would be detail orientated, motivated, a problem-solver, and have proven leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
• Prepare food for service
• Cook items on the hot menu to shop specifications
• Clean and sanitize station and cooking equipment
• Stock inventory appropriately
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
• Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Skills

• Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
• Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
• Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks

Must be 18 years of age or over

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Must have some knowledge of knife skills, sandwich making and wrapping skills
• Knowledge of principles for dealing directly with the public
• Excellent organization and problem-solving skills
• Food handler license required
• Physical demands of the job include but are not limited to:
• Standing and walking during entire shift
• Reaches, bends, stoops, lifts, shakes, stirs, pours and carries supplies
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in weight on a semi regular basis
